Morgan silver dollars were minted between 1878 and 1921 with a notable break between 1905 and 1920. 1921 versions of the Morgan dollar are the most common in circulation, although in rare cases ultra-high, pristine uncirculated grades of the Morgan dollar are traded by coins collectors. Morgan dollars are second only to Lincoln cents in collector popularity.
