The Sacagawea Dollar was meant to take the place of the paper dollar because it would last longer than paper. However, what has happened since it was issued in 2000, is that collectors are keeping them for collections and not spending them as they were intended. Thus, this has quickly become the hottest new collectible around - and very affordable.
These H.E. Harris cases are press tights with no plastic hinges to break. The insert is colored on both sides and foam filled so it is slightly thicker than the coin to hold it perfectly in place. It is made of softer plastic that is just as clear but doesn't break if accidentally dropped like other cases. This case is also much more air-tight than the snap-lock cases.
